Objective
To utilize TIBO’s expertise in pre-warping compensation to develop and optimize a product and tool that can accommodate an enormous pre-warped design to avoid warping issues and achieve the desired assembly conditions.
Part's & Mold's Specifications
- Part's material (Resin) : PP + 30GF
- Part's wall thickness and weight : 6 mm / 19,665 g
- Injection press size : 3500 T
- Mold's size and mold's weight : 87” X 79” X 67” / 125 663 lbs
Challenges
- 6 mm wall thickness part with fiberglass filling prone to a huge warping issue
- Highly complex part design requiring more than 40 mechanisms, which needed to be considered within the pre-warping conditions
Solutions

Supported by TIBO’s unique internal expertise in pre-warping compensation, developed and optimized over the years, this product and tool was successfully produced with an enormous pre-warped design (up to 27 mm).
This allowed to achieve the desired final product and assembly conditions, that otherwise would simply not be possible. - A wrong assumption and pre-warping could have caused the entire tool to be useless and require a complete new mold to be designed/produced
